This certificate, given to Vallejo Council 874 upon its institution is more than a hundred years old.  The original hangs at the council meeting hall.

 

 

Vallejo Council 874 was instituted on October 23, 1904 making it one of the oldest councils in the state of California. It was initially a community council, being the first Knights of Columbus council to be established in the City of Vallejo. Nowadays, Council 874 is closely affiliated with the St Vincent Ferrer Parish with its members actively supporting the parish projects and activities.

Council 874 belongs to District 16 of the Northern California Chapter of the Knights of Columbus.  As of July 2012, the council has 188 members listed on its roster, 35 are Honorary Life Members.  The council member's average age is 64.8 years and the average length of service to the Knights of Columbus is 14.25 years. 


 

Every first Tuesday of the month starting from 7:30 pm at Christopher Hall, 535 Florida St (near St Vincent Ferrer Parish Church across Sacramento St.) Council Officers meet on the same day at 6:30 pm.
